Sunday Edition: America's Cupcake

First up are the apologies. My blog has been very neglected lately, but I'm hoping to get back on track soon. This past week has been a pretty trying and emotional one, and not much reading has been accomplished nor have I felt like writing. However, I did do a little bit of baking, so I figured I'd present the results.

Even though it's a week late I wanted to make a Sunday post for these delicious cupcakes that I made for the Fourth of July holiday. In true American fashion, these treats came from a box cake mix and ready-made frosting that I purchased at a big grocery store. While most baked goods I create are usually made from scratch, I was feeling pretty lazy on such a hot summer day. However, I will say these were some scrumptious cupcakes considering they came from a box! The fruit was added to give more of a festive look, but I was actually surprised at how well everything tasted together. These were definitely a hit with all who tried one.

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful weekend. Thanks for dropping by, and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
